Elegant Ridgefield, located at the former Chase bank location at 98 Grove St. in Ridgefield, is getting ready for its big day on Tuesday, Oct. 3, when the storefront opens to the public.
A “luxury showroom” featuring dresses galore, Elegant Ridgefield’s message is simple: to “women own and reveal confidence at any special occasion.”
Owned by Elizabeth Murray Ellis, Elegant Ridgefield hopes to help women who need dresses find an outfit perfectly suited for them.
“Women will find styles that fit beautifully, proportionately and, most importantly, comfortably,” the shop’s website states.
To make it all the more luxurious, the store promises that the fabric on each and every piece will feel comfortable and lightweight on the skin, eliminating the nuisance of itchy, heavy formalwear.
Murray Ellis will also carry men’s dress shoes in large sizes — something that she has noticed a lack of while raising her two sons.
While awaiting the grand opening of its physical storefront, Murray Ellis is offering personal shopping appointments (so no need to fret if you need a dress ASAP).
Starting Tuesday, Oct. 3, Elegant Ridgefield will be open Tuesday through Saturday. On Thursdays and Saturdays, the shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; other days will close at 5 p.m.
